Cookies policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
Stockify keeps a small amount of data in your browser so you can stay signed in and keep your settings. This page lists what and why.
What this covers
Cookies and similar browser storage are small pieces of data a site keeps on your device. Stockify sets one cookie and otherwise uses your browser's local and session storage. This page covers both.
What Stockify stores
Sign-in session: after you log in, a session token is kept in your browser so you stay signed in. Without it you would have to log in on every page.
Sidebar state: a cookie named sidebar_state remembers whether the sidebar is open. It lasts seven days and holds only open or closed.
Preferences: your theme choice and your data library entries are kept in local storage on your device, so they are there when you return. Your active research session id is kept in session storage and disappears when you close the tab.
These are needed for the features you asked for, so Stockify does not ask for consent before setting them.
What Stockify does not use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party analytics scripts. The diagnostic log the app keeps lives in your browser's memory, is not stored, and is not sent anywhere.
Third parties
Fonts are loaded as part of the app. Our authentication and data provider, Supabase, may store its own session data in your browser while you are signed in. If we add anything else that stores data on your device, we will list it here first.
Controlling it
You can clear cookies and site data from your browser settings at any time, or block them. Doing so signs you out and removes saved preferences from that device. Blocking storage entirely will stop sign-in from working.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. For how we handle personal data, see the privacy policy.
